About Me

I fell in love with running when I was a freshman in high school in 1991 and never stopped running. I have run distances from the 800m to the marathon and even give the steeplechase a go in 2014. My first love is track running, although I am an avid road runner as well, and I discovered masters track in 2014 and have loved rediscovering my passion for track races. I've had the opportunity to meet and compete against many inspiring athletes who continue to perform at an impressive level well into advanced ages.

I am the Head Boys Cross Country Coach and Head Girls Track Coach at Des Moines Roosevelt High School. I love being able to help young runners develop and share my passion for the sport with them.

When I am not running or coaching, I love spending time with my husband, pets (two cats and a dog) and friends.
