About Me

Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Alyssa Hoffert is an accomplished saxophonist, musician, and educator that has performed in top venues across the world. In addition to her love of music, Alyssa discovered her passion for distance running while in graduate school, and eventually, trail running in Europe after she won a Huntington Beebe Foundation grant for post-graduate studies in Paris, France. Since she first began running marathons in 2014, Alyssa has received the coveted ‘6-star finisher’ medal for the Abbott World Marathon Major series, as well as finished many difficult trail marathons and ultramarathons across Europe, most notably UTMB’s grueling CCC 100K race in Chamonix, France. When she isn’t playing saxophone or running, Alyssa also enjoys climbing and bouldering, as well as practicing yoga.
