About Me

Every year I try to choose a new goal, something I’ve never tried before that is a challenge. Since last year I have been planning to do a Cyclocross race just to do it. So I bought my Ritchey SwissCross in March and rode it around having no idea how I would fare in a race and having no cx training whatsoever. Trying something new is always hard and it’s difficult to get out of your comfort zone, but it leads to new and great things. I had only planned to do one race, but instead signed up for every race I could after getting through the first one since I had so much fun. I ended up doing better than I had expected and made some great friends along the way. I was also lucky enough to be invited to join Team Bikenetic who has been so supportive with knowledge and training. I also decided that since I was already doing all the races, I may as well go to the USA Cycling 2018 Cyclocross National race in Kentucky. So I converted my bike to a Single speed to race in the worst conditions of the whole year, but I had a great time doing it and I'm thankful for all the new experiences I've had because of CX. In addition to Cyclocross I have also spent the last few years racing cars with SCCA and I'm looking forward to all the new adventures that 2019 has in store. I Hope to see other awesome athletes out there at events this year!
